Kind of like in videogames when first aid kits and herbs heal character from their injuries in few seconds. It took me weeks to recover from gunshots based from my military days. Movies too, A character can walk in few seconds but they just got wrapped.

I think of Rocky---after the fights, you see the boxers lying in hospital beds with swollen 'black-eyes' (or whatever they call it when their closed eyes look like big swollen bruises ... I guess I have some form of Ommetaphobia); and then you see them 'the next day' and they look like they haven't suffered those injuries for YEARS!
