Where have the Eyptians been? For years I've heard people say that Cleopatra was black. As far as "revisionism". There is so much of that going on in various historical accounts, seems like a lot of countries should be suing.
But! I'm going to say that from what I know about the Egyptians, they've been REVISING their own historical records for a while, haven't they? I mean... Didn't they blot out people from the historical records they didn't like? I heard there was once a woman pharaoh but the Egyptians got rid of all of her statues and any records that showed evidence of her existence. That's what I heard. Supposedly archaeologists dug up proof that she was real. If true, isn't that REVISIONISM?
When it comes to revisionism, haven't people been doing this throughout the history of mankind?
There are 2 people in this world that you should probably double-check what they say. That's a historian and an archeologist. Just sayin'.

The female pharaoh was Hatshepsut, and yeah, they tried to remove records of her. Yes, I agree people have been doing that sort of thing forever. However, I don't think that's an argument that it's okay to do.
Personally I don't see what the fuss is about with this one since, like you said, it's not a new idea (portraying her as black) and we don't really know what she looked like. Portraits often didn't really look like their subject in ancient times (though more so in Rome maybe).

What, like a class action suit?
