Ooh, a real barbie is great! :D I also do it here using an electric grill or the oven but the taste is different - never the same as charcoal grilling! I use a liquid "smoke flavor" but not enough to pack the punch :( The real deal is still the best!

All of those are attempts at duplicating the real smoke flavor of a hardwood fire, but fall short . I use a Traeger Hardwood Pellet Grill and anything that comes out of it is real smoked flavor.

Hmm, it is probably a stupid question, but will your house get filled by smoke after? We live in an apartment and I hate (HAAATTTTEEE) the leftover smell from cooked food long after I am done cooking and washing the pots. So I am just worried it will be the same as this.

Not a problem for me, I have my grill in my 1/4 acre back yard just off the porch

My sister has given me a soup maker. You just stick veg, water and a stock cube in it and let it cook. I'm dying to use it but I don't think it's much of a Sunday dinner. I will probably do a roast and use the soupmaker tomorrow :)

I just defrosted some chicken thighs which I'll marinate and grill later. I'm having them with a bunch of roast veggies. I've got some delicious chocolate and vanilla mousse for dessert :)

I am going out for dinner in a nearby restaurant famous for South Indian cuisines. We both love eating south Indian food so my wife agreed to eat out which she seldom does.

I am having my dinner right now. I cooked some nduja pasta with tomatoes and mushrooms. The nduja was gifted to us by our Italian friend from her vacation in Calabria. Hot hot hot!! The spice is really intense on this one!

We are eating leftover chicken spaghetti that I cooked from yesterday. When I cook, I try to cook something that will last for a few days. I hate cooking all of the time.

I attempted to make roast chicken with vegetables for yesterday's dinner, but discovered close to dinnertime that it needed more time to cook. I put it in the fridge and we had something else instead.

Today I put all of the chicken and vegetables into the crockpot and made 2 loaves of Cuban bread. It will make a lovely dinner tonight!

Since my granddaughter is having a school dinner today I am going to use my soupmaker to make a light healthy meal. I keep forgetting to get stock cubes when I go out but I plan to do that as soon as the shops are open.

I might make some chorizo carbonara later. I have lots of eggs around but don't have pancetta or guanciale. I think Spanish chorizo will work well so will give it a go

Tonight I'll be making spaghetti bolognese tonight, my husband's favourite :) I just wish we could also have some garlic bread with it, but sadly, I'm on a health trip at the moment :(

I'm doing home made vegetable soup and rolls with my new soup maker for myself. I made some the other night which I thought was delicious but my granddaughter said she was 'not a fan of it' and it gave her a tummyache lol. I guess I might have to make some and freeze it for myself. :)

We had Hawaiian Haystacks. Chicken simmered in a broth and poured over rice, then on top add grated cheese, bell pepper, celery, tomatoes, pineapple and crisp Chinese noodles. One of my favorites for leftover chicken. We buy a $5 rotisserie chicken and get 3 or 4 meals out of it.

@swalia....aww get well soon :)

Tonight we're not having anything special. We're making egg and bacon butties :) Not very healthy, but we'll enjoy them, for sure :)

Good question.

I think it will be meatloaf and a vegetable.

Just finished breakfast and haven't decided yet.

My granddaughter has been having school dinners recently and she eats things there she would never touch at home so I feel it's ok to have junk food sometimes. Tonight we will have pizza and garlic bread just because we both love it :D

Oh, a little taste here and there is OK :) My son also has his "treats day" usually on weekends where I allow him to eat ice cream or chocolate. :)

Tonight, I'll eat stewed beef. I cooked it last weekend (I always cook in batches and put in the fridge) so I'll just need to use my microwave-heating skills:lol:

I try to stay well clear of ready made food, but some weeks like this week I don't finish work until very late and it's just easier to bung something in the microwave, if I've not prepared anything. So tonight it'll be ready made lasagne.
